Produced in Shizuoka, Japan, this Wakocha tastes different from Assam or Ceylon black teas. While many South Asian varieties use Assamica plants for strong tannins and a full body, this black tea is made from Japanese green tea cultivars. As a result, it is less astringent and has a gentle floral sweetness. Light, smooth finish of this Wakocha contrasts with the bold character of typical black teas, making it easy to enjoy without milk.
